MINDSET
COACHING

The Kryptic Foundation Mindset Coach:

A coach specializing in post-traumatic growth, self-regulation, and identity recognition and development with an education and/or professional background in psychology and counseling, dedicated to guiding individuals through transformative journeys of healing, self-discovery, and personal growth. Acting as an expert companion, the Mindset Coach provides encouragement, education, accountability, and guidance, empowering individuals to not only overcome past traumas and challenges but also to thrive while creating and embracing meaningful lives.

DISCLAIMER: While operating in the position of “Mindset Coach” in affiliation with The Kryptic Foundation, these individuals are NOT acting in the role of “Counselor” or “Therapist” and will NOT—at any point or under any circumstance—officially diagnose or prescribe medication despite any existing professional licensing and/or certification.

The Kryptic Foundation Peer Growth Coach:

A coach specializing in support, recovery, and prevention. Through an empathy driven approach based on mutual trust and understanding, the Peer Growth Coach leverages training, education, and lived experience to foster self-driven, self-sustainable healing and growth. In both individual and group formats the Peer Growth Coach acts as an advocate, educator, and companion, providing clarity regarding concepts pertaining to post-traumatic growth, identifying methods and tools for self-regulation, aiding in wellness strategy development, and illuminating additional resources to best facilitate and empower ongoing individual growth.

POST TRAUMATIC GROWTH

Post-traumatic growth refers to the positive psychological changes that individuals may experience as a result of coping with and adapting to significant adversity, struggle, hardship, or trauma. Instead of being solely defined by the negative effects of trauma, individuals emerge from difficult experiences with newfound strengths, insights, and personal growth. These changes can include a greater appreciation for life, identification of new opportunities and possibilities, improved relationships, a deeper sense of personal strength, and a shift in priorities or life philosophy. Post-traumatic growth highlights a human capacity beyond resilience, which may be summarized as an ability to rapidly recover, or a resistance to adversity. Post-traumatic growth is a new level of functioning and perspective—beyond what existed prior to a traumatic event—inciting a new way of living in response to adversity, emphasizing the potential for meaningful growth and transformation following challenging life events.

SELF-REGULATION

Self-regulation refers to the ability to manage and control one's thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in order to achieve desired outcomes or adapt to different situations. It involves being aware of one's internal states, impulses, and reactions, and being able to regulate them effectively. Self-regulation encompasses various physical, cognitive, emotional, social, and behavioral practices and processes, resulting from self-awareness, an understanding of the effects off trauma on the senses, an awareness of "triggers", and action plans enabling impulse control, the application of logic to emotion, attentional control, intentionality, positive methods of disconnection, and grounding. Individuals with strong self-regulation skills are better equipped to resist temptations, delay gratification, stay focused on tasks, cope with stress, and maintain balance in their lives. Developing self-regulation is essential for achieving personal growth, as well as for overall well-being and success in various domains of life.

IDENTITY RECOGNITION & DEVELOPMENT

Identity recognition and development refers to the process of understanding, defining, and evolving one's sense of self over time. This involves recognizing and embracing the various aspects that contribute to one's identity, including cultural background, values, beliefs, interests, personality traits, life experiences, and aspirations.

Recognition entails acknowledging and accepting who we are, including our strengths, weaknesses, and unique qualities. Development involves actively exploring, shaping, and evolving our identity through self-reflection, exploration, and growth experiences. This process can involve questioning assumptions, exploring new interests, seeking out diverse perspectives, and engaging in personal and professional development activities.

Identity recognition and development are ongoing processes that occur throughout life as individuals navigate different stages, roles, and experiences. By actively engaging in this process, individuals can develop a stronger sense of self-awareness, authenticity, and alignment with their values, ultimately leading to greater fulfillment and well-being.
